Indiana Libertarians kick off congressional, state house races

With the 2012 elections now just months away, Libertarians across the country are kicking off their campaigns.

Why can’t you be one of them?

“Touting their party’s beliefs in small government, two Libertarians kicked off their campaigns for the 2012 election on Wednesday,” the New Castle (Ind.) Courier-Times reports.

“In the same press release, Rex Bell of Hagerstown announced he’ll run for the District 6 seat in the U.S. House, and Jeremiah Morrell of New Castle announced he’ll run for the District 54 seat in the Indiana House…Bell and Morrell join reality TV star Rupert Boneham as Libertarians who have announced their candidacies in Indiana.”

“Libertarians have made some significant gains in east central Indiana and across the state in the last few years”, said Bell. “In the District 54 race in 2010, the Libertarians managed to win a few precincts, and even finish ahead of the Democrat overall in Wayne County,” said Bell in the press release.
