Libertarian Horning enters Indiana Senate race
The Associated Press reports:
Libertarian Andrew Horning has joined next year’s Indiana Senate race, adding to the list of candidates seeking to unseat longtime U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar…
…Horning’s entry into the race could draw support from whichever Republican emerges from May’s primary. Indiana state Treasurer Richard Mourdock is challenging Lugar for the GOP nod. Lugar is seeking a seventh term in the Senate.
A poll conducted by the fiscal responsibility group Club for Growth shows the Republican primary race is tied.
A win by either Republican primary candidate leaves a large segment of the electorate without a older-party candidate to represent them.
